Cannon Image Runner

It is more cost effective to use this machine for printing, so please try to utilize this option when it is possible. A word of warning, the paper tray only holds about 200 sheets. Please top off the tray after a big print job as a courtesy to the next user.

Drivers

Useful informat for settting up the printer:

Make and Model: Cannon Image Runner 2020i
The name of the machine on our subnet: copier-m240.sr.unh.edu
It has this IP address: 132.177.249.76

Go to Canon and download the latest drivers for the Cannon IR 2020i. The Mac OSX filename is iR-UFRIIv1.40Mac.hqx

The Driver for Linux is not supported by Canon USA, but it seems to work fine. You will need the cndrvcups-common-1.30 rpm approriate to your machine as well as the cndrvcups-lb rpm.

To use as a fax machine

Place papers in paper feeder face up. Press "Send" button above the screen. Enter "9" for an outside line. Enter the fax number. Select "Pause" on screen. Enter your long-distance phone code. Press green "Start" button.

You will only receive a print out if the fax fails. Fax status is stored electronically and all sent faxes can be looked up in this log.

The fax number is (603) 862-2771. All incoming faxes are currently converted to PDF and emailed to Amber Perkins, who will forward to the appropriate person's email address as soon as messages arrive.

To use as a scanner

You will need to enter an email address into the copier's address book. To do this, press the "Send" button above the screen. Select "Address Book" on the screen. Select "Register New". It will bring you back to the address list. Select "Register New" again and type in email address.

To scan a document, Select "Address Book", highlight the address which you'd like to have the file sent to, select "OK".

On the main screen you can change the file format desired. Black and white scans can produce a PDF (default), TIFF or JPEG file. Color scans must be in JPEG format.

Copy codes and print codes have been set up to distinguish users. Please contact Amber Perkins to obtain your code.
